That’s the hotel of the St. Pancras Station. When it was built it was very ornate, opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel, and closed in 1935.
Later being offices for British Rail with empty rooms and utilised rooms given faux ceilings and tube strip lighting. It wasn’t until the early 2000s that British Rail wanted to off load the property and a company came in and wanted to restore the old lustre to the hotel and it was reopened in 2011 as the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
Imagine having a room looking out over the station.
Literally on your doorstep you can get a train to anywhere in the U.K. or Europe.
There is an area of private apart ments at not too bad a price for London house prices.
